Ramona Carter

Ramona Carter was born and raised in South Georgia where she graduated with a marketing degree from Valdosta State as well as teaching 8th grade History & Language Arts for four years. She has been a resident of Aiken since 2002. She moved here from Kentucky, where she had her son Payton and served as co-chair of multiple committees during her six years at the Junior League of Louisville.

She immediately joined the Aiken Junior Woman's Club and the Aiken Medical Alliance, where she served for six years. During that time, she adopted two children to complete her family. She then became active with Saint Mary Help of Christians School where she immersed herself in volunteer work supporting the children, teachers, staff and school for over 12 years. She is excited about serving the mental health needs of Aiken County and happy to become an active board member of Mental Health America Aiken.
